I remember as a 1st grader that every saturday morning my brother and I would run to my parents' bedroom and fight over the two music filled ipods (ancient now), and spend the next hour listening to my parents music. We would play around with each other as we jammed to some classic rock. Unbeknownst to me, this was the beginning of my relationship with music. While It was great fun, it was never my own music, and even as I learned piano around 3rd grade, I just played what was put in front of me. The evolution of my music happened around 8th grade where I started developed my own tastes and started to branch out in my musical tastes. Those influences led me to explore their genres, and I've never stopped exploring music since! The second part of my musical journey has been Music Technology. This class is where I get to experiment and expand upon all those previous musical influences. I've been given the ability to create and inspire within a safe and supporting studio here in River hill. My projects have ranged from creepy ambience music, to Eastern influenced drones, to new age orchestral covers. My Junior year I won theMultimedia category in TI:ME's national composition project. With the reward I am now able to continue exploring and creating at my own workstation at home. I have no plans to stop!
